Waterproof snoods can be worn indoors or outdoors. The gatherings in all sizes are threaded with a wider elastic (6mm) than our other snoods. The wider elastic sits flat and is a better seal for the waterproof range, to keep water out.
WHY CHOOSE WATERPROOF PUL FABRIC?
PUL stands for polyurethane laminate. It is a 100% polyester knit fabric bonded to a 1ml PU breathable and waterproofing film on the 'unseen' side of the fabric. We have chosen a supplier who manufactures this fabric in Australia. It is a high quality product that has been tested well due to its use in the modern cloth nappy industry. This is a soft but durable fabric that has been tested to last 1,000 wash cycles and can withstand high temperatures up to 100 degrees. This PUL fabric is 1ml thickness and doesn't have the crackly, crunchy feeling which is common with thicker PUL. This fabric has a slight stretch to it and is comfortable, as well as high performing as a waterproof barrier.
